• Location Data (Background & Foreground): To provide our core service of automatically tracking driving trips, calculating driving scores, and generating route analytics, TripRank requires access to your device's precise location (GPS). TripRank collects and processes this location data even when the app is closed or not in use.
• Account Information: If you link an account, we collect your email address and display name to sync your profile across devices.
• Motion & Sensor Data: We use device sensors (like the accelerometer) to detect driving events such as hard braking or rapid acceleration to calculate your driver score.
• Usage Data: We use Google Firebase to collect basic app usage and crash reports to improve the app's stability.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to:

• Automatically start and stop trip recordings.
• Accurately map your routes and measure distance/speed.
• Generate personalized driving scores and leaderboards.
• Sync your data securely to your account.

4. Data Sharing and Security

TripRank does not sell your personal data or location history to third-party data brokers or advertisers. Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We only share data with third-party service providers (like Google Firebase) to the extent necessary to operate the app's backend services.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your trip history and score data as long as your account is active. You can completely delete your account and all associated location/trip data at any time by contacting us or using an in-app deletion feature (if available).
